Labour Migration and Media 101

Wemimo is a multimedia journalist with over 8 years of experience, working across radio, TV, and documentary production. She is the Founder and Creative Director of MEDRIVE, a media hub that provides training and mentoring for African journalists in areas like conflict reporting, investigative journalism, fact-checking, and development reporting. She is a Fellow of the Female Reporters’ Leadership Programme at the Wole Soyinka Center for Investigative Journalism. Wemimo has also been shortlisted for the BBC Komla Dumor Award (2019) for her work in storytelling and impact journalism. Her recent work involves leading MEDRIVE’s trainings such as “Sensitive & Conflict Reporting,” producing human-angle features, and advocating for gender issues in media.
