  • Module 4- Rights and Responsibility of the Media, Voter and Journalist During Elections
At the heart of every election, three fundamental rights interlock: The right of the voter to make informed choices, the right of the candidates to put their ideas across, and the right of the media to report freely and express an opinion on matters of public interest. The media plays a critical role as the intersection between voters, political candidates, and parties. Rights: Moral or legal entitlement to have or do something. Responsibility: The state or fact of being accountable or to blame for something. This module explores the rights and responsibilities of the media, voter, politician and journalists in the electoral process.
