Solutions Journalism (SoJo) Approaches to Environmental Reporting

his 30-minute self-paced course will introduce you to solutions journalism techniques that enable you to report holistically on our environment. You’ll gain insights on how to write stories that contextualise the African Green Stimulus Programme, as advocated by the United Nations Environmental Programme.  

Over the course of 4 modules and 5 short assessment quizzes, you will emerge a solutions-focused journalist, able to provide rigorous, evidence-based reporting on responses to social problems.  

Learning Outcomes: 

Upon the completion of this course, learners will;

1. Have a comprehensive understanding of the strategic approaches to solutions journalism from the idea to reporting to the completed story.
